Terms of Service

Last updated July 22, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AuditIndie (the “Service”), available at https://auditindie.com. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. What we offer

AuditIndie is a catalog of annotated teardowns of publicly available websites, plus an optional done-for-you audit of your own website. Teardowns and audits are editorial analysis and opinion (see section 7). Some parts of the catalog are free; others require a paid Membership.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Plans, billing, and cancellation

  • Membership — $9/month. A recurring subscription that unlocks the full depth of the catalog (all annotation pins, all takeaways, and score benchmarks). It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Lifetime — $79, one-time. A single payment that grants ongoing access to the same catalog depth as Membership. It is not a recurring charge.
  • Audit — $49, one-time. A done-for-you audit of a single website you own or are authorized to submit (see section 4).

Prices are in US dollars and may change over time; changes never affect a Lifetime purchase you’ve already made, and we’ll give notice before changing the price of an active subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe, and by purchasing you also agree to Stripe’s terms. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

Cancellation. You can cancel your Membership at any time from your account or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. We don’t provide prorated refunds for partial months.

Refunds. If something goes wrong or you’re not happy, email [email protected] — we’re a small indie product and will try to make it right. Except where a refund is required by law, refunds are at our reasonable discretion, and an audit that has already been delivered is generally non-refundable.

4. Audits

An audit is a human-authored, AI-assisted review of a website, delivered to your account. When you order one, you pay first and submit the URL, and the audit enters our queue. We aim to deliver within the timeframe stated at checkout. If our queue is full, we’ll show a waitlist instead of taking payment.

By submitting a site for an audit, you confirm you own it or are authorized to have it reviewed. An audit is our informed opinion and recommendations — it is not a guarantee of any particular result, ranking, revenue, or performance outcome.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Copy, resell, scrape, or redistribute paid catalog content outside your personal use.
  • Share your account or paid access with others.
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Submit sites you have no right to submit, or use the Service for anything unlawful.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including our teardown and audit write-ups, annotations, scoring, design, and code, belongs to AuditIndie and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Buying a plan grants you a personal, non-transferable license to view the content — not to republish or resell it. Any content you submit (such as a URL or notes) remains yours; you grant us the license needed to produce and deliver your audit.

7. Teardowns are editorial — no affiliation

Teardowns are independent commentary and opinion about publicly available websites, offered for educational and informational purposes. AuditIndie is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any company or person featured in a teardown. Product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary only. Metrics we mention (such as revenue or traffic) are researched estimates or figures the founders have shared publicly, and may not be exact or current. If you’re featured and would like a correction, email [email protected].

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Teardowns and audits are opinions and suggestions, not professional, legal, financial, or business advice, and we don’t warrant that following them will produce any specific outcome.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AuditIndie will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or others. If we terminate your account without cause, we’ll refund any prepaid amount for time you didn’t receive.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Bulgaria will have jurisdiction over any dispute — except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. When changes are material, we’ll update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
